Regulatory Update: 📢 Announcement: Uzbekistan - Compulsory Registration of All Alphanumeric Sender IDs and Whitelisting of All SMS contents on Uzbekistan Ucell Network
Scheduled for Oct 16, 2026, 01:16 PDT - Mar 15, 2027, 01:16 PDT
Starting from 30th October 2026, all SMS messages on Ucell network must come from a registered sender ID. Generic sender IDs are not allowed for usage and registration. The sender ID and message content must exactly correspond to the information submitted for registration. Any manipulation or modification of the registered message content may not simply result in message failure, but the associated sender ID may be blocked and removed from registration.
For each sender ID and message registering, please provide the following information:
1. Desired Sender ID 2. Company details (full name, website, country of HQ) 3. Message type (OTP/ARN/MKT) 4. Message format and length of the OTP code (eg. 4/6/8 digits, etc). If your messages involve multiple variables, please define them clearly.
To ensure uninterrupted delivery of SMS traffic, please submit your SID and message contents before end of October.
For new sender IDs registrations, approval may take up to 3–4 weeks. There are no fees associated with this process. Please note that purely numeric codes are not permitted for use in Uzbekistan.
