China Unicom has announced to apply new regulations governing URL and phone number inclusion in message content. This new regulation applies to both China Mobile and China Telecom that has announced updates recently.
- URL and phone number hosted outside of China in message content are blocked - One signature can only register 1 URL and 2 phone numbers in its message content.
To support compliance with the latest requirements set by Chinese telecom authorities, the following registration requirements are now enforced:
## Signature Registration Requirements: a. Signature to be sent (the signature must match registered company name, app name or trademark) b. Chinese entity name (official registered business name) c. Unified credit code of the company (company registration identifier) d. Scanned copy of Business license(China based entity) e. Scanned copy (both sides) of contact Chinese ID card f. Contact Mobile Number (+86 prefix) g. Message template (proposed content sample) h. Letter of Authorization (LOA) (ONLY if trademark owner differs from submitting entity) *i. Phone numbers and URLs hosted outside China in message contents will be blocked. To send messages with phone number(s) and URL, submitting message contents with URL and phone numbers for operator's reviewing and whitelisting is mandatory.
## Message content submission Guidelines (i*): a. Each registered signature may include only one URL and maximum two landline numbers. b. URLs must be supported by a valid Chinese ICP registration; unregistered domains will fail operator's review.
